Designed by Bill Parry, the Aurora is a free-form sculptural wall sconce in rattan core. Its organic silhouette is shaped entirely by hand — no two are identical. Light is directed upward, casting a warm ambient glow and shifting shadow patterns across the ceiling. A piece that resists category.

The Aurora is handcrafted by master craftspeople in the Philippines, where generations of rattan expertise shape each piece entirely by hand. The free-form silhouette emerges through traditional bending and weaving techniques — no moulds, no two alike. Natural variation in tone and texture is inherent to the piece.
Rattanology is a UK design studio based in Oxford, partnering with master craftspeople around the world to create premium rattan lighting and furniture with intention and integrity.
