Striking neoclassical urn featuring an elegant amphora form with high scrolled handles, fluted neck, and classical relief medallion. Crafted in patinated metal and mounted on a substantial black marble base, the piece has excellent visual weight and presence.
Based on construction and style, the urn likely dates to the late 19th or early 20th century, with a possible origin as early as circa 1880.
Originally converted to a lamp in the mid-20th century, the wiring has been thoughtfully removed, restoring the piece to its intended sculptural form. The clean silhouette now reads beautifully in both traditional and modern interiors.
