The mirror is believed to be an apprentice test piece, as smaller, thinner mirrors with drawn glass were often made by young craftsmen before progressing to larger works. It features a weathered silvered wooden frame with traces of gilt underneath, and hand-drawn glass with a gently curved top, characteristic of the Louis Philippe style.
