A George I Highboy of small proportions and highly original, the exterior in highly figured Walnut veneers, dating from the first quarter of the 1700s.
The frame in two sections, the lower cabinet over a shaped apron, supported on top of cabriole legs ending in pad feet. The upper section with a 2-short over 3-long arrangement of sliding drawers, all with inlaid borders and original brass fixtures.
The upper section designed to sit within a molded border, resting securely on the original lower half. The top and base cabinets are original to each other.
