Stunning Spanish/Mexican Colonial style sideboard, believed to date from the 19th to early 20th century. Features beautifully preserved hand-painted polychrome panels depicting Catholic religious figures including the Virgin Mary, saints, and devotional symbols.
Condition: Exceptional for age. Original hand-painted scenes retain vibrant gold backgrounds and clear figural details - significantly better preservation than comparable pieces. Dark stained wood cabinet with original hardware. Minor decorative gilt cord trim detachment in small areas (see photos) - can be professionally restored or left as authentic patina. Minor surface wear consistent with age.
Dimensions: Roughly 2.5ft H x 4.6ft L x 1.5ft W
Similar examples have been attributed to 19th century Mexican colonial workshops. This piece would make a stunning addition to any collection of Spanish colonial art or religious antiquities.
