Two large serrated diamond medallions anchor the center field, each layered in ivory, orange, and deep brown on a soft heathered tan/grey ground. Around the central motif is an open lattice of linked diamonds, giving the rug a strong architectural feel. Stepped bars and corner elements add movement and balance, all framed by a warm red and dark brown border that pulls the design together. Woven in sturdy, all-wool yarns on a traditional Navajo upright loom, this piece is an excellent example of trading-post-era weaving—combining natural undyed wool with rich red and brown dyes to create a striking, collectible floor or wall textile.
