It features a figural female overlay in an Art Deco style, appearing on both sides of the hammered bronze body. Romain deTirtoff, known by the pseudonym Erte was a Russian born French artist and designer (11/23/1892 - 4/21/1990). He worked in several fields, including fashion, jewellery, graphic art, costume, set design for film, theater and opera and interior decor. Erte was and is a world known artist.
