This Fruit of Life bronze sculpture by Erte with his signature shown on the photo. It features a stylized female head with a distinctive headdress and facial features characteristic of Erte’s Art Deco style. Original base is included with this Erte’s Art Deco and the top can be rotated.
Romain de Tirtoff (11/23/1892-4/21/1990), known by the pseudonym Erte from the French pronunciation of his initials. Erte was a Russian-born French artist and designer. He worked in several fields, including fashion, jewelers, graphic arts, costume, set design for film, theater, opera, and interior decor. Erte was and is a well known artist around the world and Martin Lawrence Gallery in Las Vegas has extensive collection of Erie’s work.
