Following from lower left clockwise - Oversize Herati style main border of scrolled serrated leaves encompassing a central flower, a repeating turtle samovar design border, a Mir Serbend stylized germinating floral design element stemming from a finned meandering vine. Lower right corner a minor color palette. Thick carpet is in its original scale and proportions, having not been reduced. Colors and shades include: Oxidized silver, navy blue, cobalt blue, tangerine orange, tomato red, sky blue, pale coffee brown, and more. Condition notes: Even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Not reduced in size! This is the original scale and proportion with no interior modifications. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Malayer rug made in Persia circa 1920's vintage. Size measures 4' x 5'8". See less
