A chinoiserie porcelain table lamp by porcelaine de paris, france, dating to the 1970s, featuring vibrant copper red enamel decoration on a classic bottle-form base. The elegant silhouette draws on the traditional chinese tianqiuping form, with a rounded, globular body rising into a slender elongated neck. Across the glossy white glazed surface, finely hand-painted decoration unfolds in a rich copper red palette, depicting stylised mythical and symbolic animals, including guardian lion figures and deer. The brushwork is fluid and precise, lending movement and clarity to each figure while maintaining a balanced, continuous composition around the body. The porcelain is set on a stepped circular plinth in solid brass, echoed by a matching brass collar at the neck. The warmth of the metal contrasts gently with the cool white glaze, while a natural patina has developed over time, adding depth without detracting from the overall clarity of the piece. The underside retains the porcelaine de paris mark alongside the model number. Porcelaine de paris refers not to a single manufacturer but to a long-established parisian tradition of fine porcelain production dating back to the 18th century. The term encompasses a number of independent workshops known for producing high-quality decorative wares, often comparable in standard to limoges porcelain. Condition is very good. The porcelain body is free from chips, cracks, or restoration. The brass elements show light patination consistent with age, with a small area of slight denting to the rear of the plinth. Fully functional and wired for the uk with a bayonet fitting and gold-toned braided cable. Height: 38 cm / 14.96 in (to top of lampholder) diameter: 16 cm / 6.3 in lampshade not included. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
