A Danish cabinet made from Nordic oak in the style of Mid-century Modern. Manufactured in Denmark 1994, see picture of stamp from manufactor HM Møbler on the back of the cabinet. Made in the style of renowned Danish designer Henning/Henry Kjærnulf. Kjærnulf is globally recognized for his unique fusion of Scandinavian Modern aesthetics with elements reminiscent of medieval, baroque, and even Viking styles. This design is occasionally referred to as "Danish Brutalist."
The cabinet stands on elegantly carved legs and remains in excellent original condition, displaying a gentle patina that is consistent with its age and use.
The wood surface is light, raw and with an almost pale look of the grain structure. Even though that the cabinet is big and heavy, it still feels slim and elegant. The squared dimensions of the item make it carm and warm in appearance. The 4 legs connected with and low beam gives a sence of strength and stability to it and brings the furniture together. The carvings in the frame and the legs toegther with the straight lines, glass doors, flat surfaces and squared design, gives it a good look.
The dimensions of it is ideal for a living room, it does not take up much space in the room. Pair this type of mid-century Danish design furniture up with other classical, art deco, Bauhaus or even art nouveau style.
Also a modern house would fit these types of furnitures. Concrete and glass housing would need a touch of the old items with more soul and atmosphere.
