Wear commensurate with age and use.Original Japanese tansu cabinet from the Taishō period, conceived as a vertical domestic storage piece, featuring a rich and well-balanced composition of sliding doors, drawers, and open compartments. The upper section incorporates sliding doors, one of which includes a translucent decorative panel that allows light to pass through, visually lightening the structure. The central section features a row of utility drawers, while the lower body combines open compartments, doors, and drawers of varying sizes, reflecting the flexible and practical logic typical of early 20th-century Japanese furniture.Crafted primarily from Japanese cedar (sugi), the cabinet retains a warm, deep patina, with even wear, softened edges, and tonal variations consistent with its age. The original dark iron hardware shows uniform aging and remains well integrated into the piece.A cabinet with strong architectural presence and generous storage capacity, ideal as a vertical sideboard, storage unit, or statement piece in contemporary, wabi-sabi, Japandi, or eclectic interiors. The state of conservation is optimal, except for the characteristic imperfections of any antique produced by the passage of time.Give a point of originality to your home with a unique piece, which merges with the contemporary style bringing personality to your home.
