A large, striking oil on canvas artwork depicting an interior scene, a mother with children, the artwork is exquisitely painted. The painting is adorned with a fabulous contemporary napoleon iii-era frame, richly carved, gilded, and lacquered. The painting is characterized by numerous details, notably the stunning woven wooden basket filled with fruit (see photo).

pets enrich the scene: a cat in one corner, a small dog with a red bow eagerly awaits the child's food (see photo), and chickens and chicks below. The young mother, the protagonist of the painting due to her role and elegance, gazes toward the viewer.

the youngest child, at his mother's feet, plays with a pomegranate. At the bottom of the floor, between the dog and the chicks, is a signature l. Galli (see photo), attributable to the famous painter luigi mauro giuseppe galli (1820-1900), lacking additional documentation. The artwork has undergone conservative restoration with relining, replacement of the stretcher, and repainting in small areas (see photo). The frame has undergone restoration with replacement of the decoration in the gilded inner corner at the top left (see photo). Overall, the painting is in good condition.
