Officially identified by the manufacturer as a large salad or berry spoon, I find I most often used it for casseroles. An impressive spoon in size and weight but also in design in that large serving pieces depicted a fruit grouping of pineapple, peach, orange, and apple while other pieces in this pattern were decorated in one of the other 15 varying fruit designs. Francis I was patented in 1907 and the eagle-R-lion hallmark was used until about 1950 when the company switched to "Reed and Barton." This spoon is in excellent condition with no signs of wear to the pattern. No monograms. An anti-tarnish storage bag is included if the buyer wants it. See less
