Each sconce is centred by a circular backplate with a delicately cast acanthus motif framing the border. The gracefully s shaped scrolling arm takes the form of a stylised cornucopia, richly ornamented with foliate details and classical volutes, ending in a finely modelled rosette. The upper section is enhanced by draped garland decoration, a hallmark of louis xvi ornamentation, lending the pieces a light and sophisticated architectural presence. Their restrained scale makes them particularly suitable for intimate interiors while still providing strong decorative impact.
