An exceptional matched pair of American Machine Age table lamps by Pattyn Lamps / Modern Products Corporation of Detroit, attributed to Walter Von Nessen, whose influential Modernist designs defined the aesthetic of the most sophisticated interiors of the 1930s.

The architectural stepped aluminum base is a sculptural interpretation of the era's skyscraper forms, precision-machined and finished in lustrous brushed aluminum. The dramatic horizontal disc shade with interior mica diffuser creates a warm, sophisticated glow while maintaining the strict geometric purity that defines the Streamline Moderne aesthetic.
