Note the gorgeous geometric patterns on the desk insert and the curved drawers, clearly created by an expert cabinetmaker. Three drawers below and one drawer above the desk insert offers additional storage. This piece is meticulously crafted with dovetails and pegs and has the original brass hardware. The old pine has a beautiful natural pine waxed finish that just gets better with age. Miraculously the original keys are still with the desk... one key for the desk portion and another key that is for opening and closing the drawers. All of the keys turn and lock and modern blue tassels are included.
When this piece was found two of the small desk drawer knobs were missing so reproductions were professionally crafted out of wood and painted to match. That was the only repair that this piece needed!
Note that the one door in the desk insert has a gap on the left side... this is where the door panel shrunk due to humidity changes over the years.
