Oval wall mirror, Napoleon III period, circa 1860-1880, gilded with gold leaf on a wood and stucco backing.
The frame features a simple yet substantial double-grooved profile, adorned with an interior frieze carved with repetitive floral and geometric motifs. The slightly patinated glass appears original, with some traces of oxidation along the edges attesting to its age. The back reveals traditional craftsmanship: a solid wood panel, brass upholstery tacks, and a multi-cord hanging system. The gold leaf gilding is in good overall condition. Cleaning may be necessary depending on the intended use. Dimensions: H. 75 cm. Weight: 10 kg.
