The child has naturalistic childlike proportions, with a tilted head and large eyes and a forward gaze, and stands on a carved and gilded wooden base. The arms are raised and open, with hands positioned in a blessing and welcoming gesture, so that the anatomical rendering is simplified yet attentive to the main volumes. The complexion is treated with pinkish chromatic modulations concentrated on the face, chest, and knees. Condition: Excellent. Provenance: Naples, 18th century. Measurements: 17 x 17 cm, H 36 cm.
