This table lamp is the
"Bricola" (or "Venetian Bricola") model, an iconic design piece created by Federica Marangoni for the Italian company ITRE around 1972-1975.
The design is distinguished by its sculptural structure, reminiscent of
"bricole," the wooden poles used in the Venice lagoon for navigation. It is composed of oval tubes of transparent Murano glass with white streaks (a "variegated" effect), held together by a metal or methacrylate band and resting on a circular base.
This model has been exhibited in the Permanent Collection of the Milan Triennale. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
misattribution,
Up to 250V (Europe/UK Standard). The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
