This is a high-quality example that has been well cared for, and with their invented “Door Equalizers” for a smooth glide and secure placement to store open doors.

And each of the 5 sections is equipped with their special steel “interlocking strips” that hold each section in place to the next. They also prevent warping, keeping each unit precise to the next.

Grade 299 refers to the choice of wood being “Quarter sawed figured oak, deep rich golden finish, highly
polished, brass oxidized trimmings.

3 Glass dooredshelves include:
- D-12¼” high section, ideal for larger books, ledgers
- D-10 1/4” high
- D-8 1/2” high
Plus:
- Ogee profile Top
- Ogee profile base with Drawer

Each shelf has its original lift-and-slide glass door with the small brass knob and operates smoothly. The oak has a rich, warm finish with attractive grain throughout. The interior label shows the classic gold and black Globe-Wernicke design used around 1910–1920, identifying this sections.

This is timeless piece of functional antique furniture that belongs in libraries, offices, shops, and home interiors. The pieces show less than expected age and their character and history really shines through.
