Contemporary meets Traditional in this very large Cityscape (48" x 60") illustrating Chicago's iconic Michigan Avenue filtered through morning rain.
Composition is extraordinary.
Underscored by the bike rider in the foreground, our eyes are pulled down a metro-urban tunnel whose walls are comprised of skyscrapers, trees and fog.
Each small "character" in the piece is dominated by the enormity of it's surroundings. Each character is posed individually; each is drawn as if in purposeful motion--going about the gritty business of getting to work on a rainy Monday morning.
We love this painting, perfect for a large living room--or perhaps--an office wall in a downtown metro environment.
