Dramatic vintage wall sconces in heavy cast metal (likely brass), with a long, curving tail that supports a single candle cup. Deep relief feathering and a flame-like crest give it a strong Gothic Revival feel with a hint of old-world European character. Coloring and patina is a rich, roughly-textured dark charcoal with a speckled grey-and-white verdigris effect that gives it an authentic, aged look. (Playing card for scale.)
Substantial, architectural—would work well as a statement piece in an entryway, hallway, or possibly flanking a fireplace. Fantastic and solid feel that you just don't find in modern reproductions.
