The top is framed by a delicate openwork gallery in brass or stained wood, lending elegance and refinement to the piece. The table rests on a slender base with cabriole legs in black, contrasting with the rich golden tones of the veneer.

It features a drawer in the front adorned with an antique handle, as well as two intermediate shelves, offering both decorative charm and functionality.

The woods used appear to be an assemblage of walnut, rosewood, and other stained fruitwoods, typical of late 19th-century French production. The contrasting tones highlight the exquisite marquetry.
