Antique Old Sheffield silver on copper centerpiece candelabrum measuring a large 27" tall with a span of 17" wide. Made by the famed Matthew Boulton in the early 19th c. - double sun / star marks to the foot.
This large and heavy piece was used as a single centerpiece in the middle of the table with coordinating smaller candelabra perhaps with only two branches at the ends. This example may be used with three or four candles - the central urn functions as a cassoulet and removing the flame finial reveals a fourth light. Removable bobeches. An early survival of the grand English country house. Good condition - rosing consistent with age
