The framed painting measures approx. 29 3/4 inches X 34 inches and approx. 2 inches thick. The painting measures approx. 22 inches X 27 inches. American, New England, first half 20th Century. Rockport School, Impressionist, oil on board. Maritime port scene depicting vivid coastal architecture and a pair of majestic sailing vessels. The artwork suggests a dusk setting, with sails furled. Simply gorgeous, colorful reflections dance on the surrounding waters. Painting housed under glass and encased in a lovely, period wooden frame, with original robin's egg blue paint. The painting is signed by unrecognized artist in corner, "Louis Thompson". Very good vintage condition. Shows minor wear commensurate with age. See photos. Displays masterful! See less
