Antique Hand Painted "Forget Me Not" Cup & Saucer for your consideration. The cup measures approx. 3 1/8 inches tall and approx.
4 3/8 inches from rim to handle. The saucer measures approx. 6 1/4 inches in diameter. Late 19th to early 20th Century; Likely European origin, possibly French or German. Very finely hand painted pair of doves, quiver full of arrows, floral bouquet and banner that reads, "Forget me not". Gold gilt border with foliage fern and forget-me-nots floral design. Saucer has further hand painted floral design and gold gilt border. Artist signed (photo 4); mostly illegible. Cup and saucer are unmarked. Overall, good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Shallow chip to inside rim of cup. See photos. Displays beautifully!
