The table measures approx. 28 3/4 inches tall, 47 1/2 inches wide (extended), 24 inches folded-in and 18 inches deep. Continental, French or German, 18th Century. Mahogany construction with beautiful walnut inlay accents on exterior and interior of tabletop. Extendable slide supports on either side, double hinged fold-out gaming tabletop, revealing marquetry chess board underneath, alternating dark and light inlaid squares. Single drawer with brass knob and further inlay decoration. Wonderfully crafted, tapered legs resting on small casters. Overall, good (restored) antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Chess checkerboard is a bit warped, uneven. Replacement to one walnut square inlay. Restoration filled crack that runs down the center of the gameboard tabletop to support and prevent further distortion. Other condition issues include but are not limited to, scratches, dents, marks, stains, splits, cracks, inlay loss, historical restorations and alterations, etc. Solid and ready to use (gently). Natural, warm patina! See photos. Even with condition issues, a nice example of an early & rare gaming table, displays splendid! See less
