The framed painting measures approx. 15 1/4 inches X 19 1/4 inches and approx. 2 1/2 inches deep. The painting measures approx. 10 inches X 14 inches. Painting depicts portrait of cute boy with large spoon in his hand. He is wearing an alpine hat and knickerbockers. The boy is standing in a rundown room with cracking plaster walls. The room is simple in design with washstand, curtained window, single shelf with modest dishes and a basket of cherries on the floor. With the sheepish look on the youngster's face, one can only imagine he is getting ready, or already has started, to consume some of those cherries with the spoon in his hand. It also appears his sleeve is rolled up knowing things could get a bit messy. Regardless, an intriguing scene that would fit nicely in any setting. Overall, the painting is in good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age. Looks to have had some old, yet professional restorations, minor chipping to the paint and pin-sized holes to canvas as can be seen in photo #5 with a light behind the painting. These condition issues don't significantly detract from the attractiveness of the painting but are a consideration in the evaluation. See photos. Displays delightful! See less
