The body is divided into cartouche panels framed by bold iron-red scrollwork borders, each panel depicting classic motifs — a swooping swallow, flowering prunus branches, and a peony basket in teal, pink, yellow, and white overglaze enamels.

The crazing runs continuously through the base glaze beneath the painted decoration, indicating genuine age. The raised overglaze enamels have a tactile quality characteristic of authentic hand-painted Asian export porcelain. Mounted on a carved wooden base with brass hardware.
