An exceptional and rare Art Deco sideboard from the 1930s, distinguished by its clean lines and architectural presence. This piece comes from a former private doctor's villa and remained in the same ownership for decades – a piece of furniture with history, character, and extraordinary appeal.
Crafted from high-quality mahogany, the sideboard impresses with its warm, deeply shimmering surface and the elegantly rounded sides typical of the late Art Deco era. The clean lines are complemented by a striking, solid brass crown, whose geometric design reveals a strong modernist influence and lends the piece an almost sculptural quality.
Inside, a well-thought-out layout with drawers and shelves perfectly combines functionality and aesthetics.
Another highlight is the generously sized, extendable marble top, elegantly integrated into the piece. It expands the usable surface area, transforming the sideboard into a versatile serving or bar element – a rare and highly practical addition that impresses both functionally and aesthetically.
The high-quality construction, featuring solid back panels set into grooves, is particularly noteworthy. The entire piece can be completely disassembled in just a few steps (8 screws) – a rare and extremely practical detail for furniture of this size and era.
The condition is very good, underscoring the exceptional quality and care this piece has received.
This sideboard is far more than just a functional piece of furniture – it's a statement piece for sophisticated interiors, ideal for design enthusiasts, collectors, or stylish residential and commercial spaces.
