A pair of PK-22 lounge chairs designed by Poul Kjærholm and produced by Fritz Hansen in Denmark.
These have that very clean, minimal look Kjærholm is known for. The steel frame is thin and precise, almost drawing the shape in the air, while the leather seat and back sit lightly within it. It gives the chair a slightly floating feel without being fragile.
The combination of chrome steel and black leather works really well. It’s simple, but it has a strong presence, and it fits easily into both modern and more classic interiors.
They sit low and relaxed. Width is about 24.4 inches, depth roughly 24.4 inches, and total height around 28 inches. Seat height is approximately 10.6 so it’s more of a lounge position than an upright chair.
What we like about them is how balanced they feel. Very minimal, but still comfortable and not cold, which is not always easy to achieve with this kind of design.
