The Inspiration: The table is a dual homage. It captures the dynamic randomness of the game of Shanghai (Pick-up Sticks)—the exact moment the sticks fall into a complex, balanced tangle. Simultaneously, it pays tribute to Piet Mondrian, using his iconic primary color palette (red, yellow, blue) to transform the iron structure into a three-dimensional Neoplasticist painting.

Technical Craftsmanship: The construction is exceptionally complex. The iron tubular base requires a sophisticated process known as 'fish-mouth notching' (sgolatura). This manual technique allows Nasuti to join up to four tubes, each with a different inclination, into a single vertex. This creates a structural 'skein' that is incredibly rigid despite its visual lightness.

The Bicycle Frame Finish: For the finishing, Nasuti turned to a master artisan in Parma, a veteran specialist in painting racing bicycle frames. This collaboration ensures a professional powder-coating of surgical precision—vibrant, thin, and extremely resistant to wear, typical of the highest standards of Italian sports engineering.
