Empire period office chair in solid walnut.
with a simple and structured design, typical of the early 19th century.
The straight back is framed by rectilinear uprights, extended by armrests with carved brackets adorned with stylized floral motifs. The armrests terminate in discreet scrolls, lending elegance and balance to the whole.
The seat and back are upholstered in a polychrome striped fabric (red, green, and yellow), providing a decorative contrast to the warm tone of the wood. The upholstery is in good condition.
The base consists of straight front legs with a square cross-section, seamlessly integrated with the armrests, and slightly saber-shaped rear legs, in keeping with the Empire style.
French work from the early 19th century.
