A delightful decorative table lamp designed in the shape of a small tree. It was made in France in the 1960s.
The top is ceramic glazed in a glossy green finish with lighter green spots. It has multiple small perforations, which allow light to shine through in a dotted pattern when the lamp is on. The edges of the shade are slightly wavy, giving it an organic, handcrafted feel.
The stem looks like a textured tree trunk with roots spreading out at the bottom. It’s painted in a rich brown color, adding to the natural, woodland aesthetic. The lamp sits on a brass base.
The piece has a whimsical, nature-inspired design—almost fairy-tale-like. It could fit well in rustic, cottage, or fantasy-themed decor.
Overall, it’s a playful, artistic lamp that mimics a mushroom growing from a tree root base, likely meant as both a functional light source and a decorative statement piece.
We can rewire for any destination and recommend an LED bulb which will not get hot.
Lovely French design from the middle of the twentieth century.
