Stunning small rectangular serving tray crafted in an elegant mix of mouth-blown Murano glass enriched with 24k gold inclusions, acid-etched mirrored glass, and refined gilt metal handles. This exquisite piece was produced in Italy during the 1940s by the renowned Murano glassmaker Ercole Barovier. In excellent vintage condition, with no chips or cracks. The compact size and refined proportions give this tray a delicate yet striking presence. The frame is formed by a twisted Murano glass element infused with shimmering gold particles, beautifully enhancing the way light reflects across the surface. The mirrored base, finely acid-etched, portrays a poetic Venetian scene with two lovers immersed in nature, accompanied by birds in flight on the horizon, evoking a sense of romance and freedom. A charming and distinctive decorative object, ideal for enriching a Mid-Century, Art Deco, or contemporary interior with a touch of authentic Italian elegance.
