Antique Persian Malayer Runner with Tree Motif Design.
Keivan Woven Arts/ rug/KBE-221101, country of origin / type: Iran / Malayer, circa 1920.

Antique Persian Malayer runner featuring a richly detailed and vertically arranged tree motif design, creating a rhythmic and highly decorative composition across the length of the rug. The field is grounded in a deep brown and chocolate tone, providing a dramatic backdrop for the vibrant, stylized motifs.

Accents of soft sky blue, muted teal, warm rust red, coral, ivory, and touches of golden tan bring the pattern to life, offering a balanced yet lively palette. The alternating sections of darker and lighter tones enhance the visual movement, giving the runner a dynamic, almost architectural presence.

The border, rendered in rust red and ivory, is filled with repeating geometric elements that frame the central design with clarity and structure. Subtle variations in color and weave add depth and character, reflecting the handwoven nature of the piece.

Malayer runners are admired for their blend of geometric precision and stylized natural forms, and this example stands out for its strong contrast and refined use of color. Well suited for hallways or long spaces, it introduces warmth, texture, and an unmistakable sense of Persian craftsmanship.
