This is a white MZ Austria covered casserole dish with pink flowers and greenery and gold trim. The set has a scalloped rim painted gold and a rather unique flower shaped handle design. I have not been able to find a pattern name for this item. The MZ Austria backstamp is dated 1884 to 1909. The other backstamp indicates the item was made by Moritz Zdekauer but possibly painted by another company. The second mark also has the number 5081 which may be a pattern name, but I do not know who the company would be. The item also has an impressed mark on the base of 960, but I do not have a pattern name to go with that either.
The base dish is 8.50 inches across the rim and 10.75 inches from handle to handle. It is 2 7/8 inches tall to the rim and slightly less deep. The set is 5.00 inches to the top of the handle on the lid.
Both the base dish and the lid have a scalloped rims trimmed in gold.
Both pieces have a split handle with a flower detail in the center and these are shown. The backstamps on the base are also shown.
There are no chips, cracks, or other damage.
