Large Louis-Philippe period mantel mirror (circa 1830-1850), rectangular in shape with rounded upper corners, characteristic of the style of this period.
Frame made of wood and stucco, gilded with gold leaf.
The front features a wide convex molding adorned with a fine cross-hatched engraved design, bordered on the glass side by an inner groove finished with a beaded molding (a row of pearls). The back reveals a structure of rough-hewn wooden planks assembled horizontally with a reinforcing vertical crossbar, typical of 19th-century craftsmanship.
The original glass has been replaced with a 7 mm thick pane. Original gilding and later restoration gilding are present.
