Historic Work by Arturo Ciacelli (Arnara 1883 – Venice 1966) Exhibited and published in a catalogue with an introduction by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti In Vienna in 1935 Study for a mural. Italian Aeropainting The work in question “Aero-meccanique” is an extremely significant work, it was created in 1934, in the full development of Futurist aeropainting, the work celebrates the modernity and dynamism of flight, the mechanics of innovation and the importance of the homeland, central themes of Futurist poetics. In the painting, Ciacelli represents a scene dominated by stylized airplanes crossing a space constructed of geometric shapes and diagonal lines, immersed in a surreal atmosphere. Frame 1930s museum glass The work is historic, therefore for export documents from the Italian Fine Arts will be required. It will take about 40 days before obtaining them. In the 1930s, he returned to Italy permanently: he participated in the 1930 Venice Biennale with the Futurist group, where he signed aeropictorial canvases such as "Circuiti Aerei." In 1935, Filippo Tommaso Marinetti presented a solo exhibition of his work in Turin, calling him "one of the most coherent and vital interpreters of the second Futurism." His work was always animated by an exploration of rhythm, light, and the dynamics of color. As Enrico Crispolti wrote, Ciacelli "embodies a rare coherence in the Futurist panorama: an artist who never sought to adapt to fashion, but rather to experience modernity as a distinct and independent spiritual and luminous experience, from early Futurism to the threshold of abstraction." He died in Venice in 1966, after a life spent between Rome, Paris, Stockholm, and Vienna, always faithful to the idea of an art in motion, capable of uniting technique, music, and poetry in a single, vital gesture. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
