A striking mixed media figurative sculpture by American artist Naida Seibel, signed and created as part of a cohesive series of three vertically scaled figures.
At 37.5 inches high, this is the most compact piece in the series, offering a refined, columnar silhouette with a quietly powerful presence. A luminous brass face emerges from a hand-formed ceramic hood, paired with Seibel’s signature use of wrapped natural fibers and richly textured textiles. A deep red woven band with fringe and shell accents introduces warmth and movement, contrasting beautifully with the tightly wound rope body and matte earthen surface.
The restrained palette and simplified adornment give this figure a more minimal, grounded character compared to its taller companions—making it an ideal standalone statement or the perfect foundation piece within the full three-sculpture arrangement.
Naida Seibel (1933–2026) was a Colorado- and Santa Fe–based artist known for her multidisciplinary practice, combining ceramics, fiber, and painting into distinctive sculptural works. Her art reflects the textures, materials, and tonal landscapes of the American Southwest.
This sculpture is offered individually, but was originally conceived as part of a three-piece installation, allowing collectors to build a complete, tiered grouping over time.
