A beautiful and authentic 19th century Shaker wooden bucket, featuring original worn blue paint and classic bentwood construction. This early firkin-style bucket showcases hand-crafted wooden staves held together with aged metal bands, along with a sturdy wire swing handle and turned wooden grip.
The surface displays a wonderful aged patina, with layers of original blue paint worn over time to reveal the natural wood beneath—giving it that highly sought-after primitive country look. The interior shows honest use, while the exterior retains strong visual character, making it an excellent decorative piece.
Perfect for farmhouse decor, primitive collections, or as a statement accent piece. It also works beautifully as a planter, storage container, or display prop. A genuine early Shaker bucket with incredible character and timeless primitive appeal.
Good antique condition with age-appropriate wear. Paint loss, surface wear, and patina throughout consistent with 1800s use. The wood remains solid overall, with typical shrinkage and minor separation between staves. Metal bands show rust as expected. The handle is fixed and does not fold down. Please refer to the listing images for close-up photos of the item’s condition.
