The notion of the human condition has long served as a framework through which we attempt to understand the complexities of the self, our relationships with others, and the shifting dynamics between the two across time and experience. Among those who sought to articulate this inner landscape, Carl Jung remains a singular figure, whose exploration of the psyche proposed that identity is shaped not only by what is consciously expressed, but equally by what is concealed. This work draws upon two interrelated aspects of Jungian thought. At a formal level, it alludes to the visual equilibrium of Yin and Yang — the coexistence of opposing forces within a unified whole. More prominently, however, it engages with Jung’s concept of the Shadow: the hidden, often unacknowledged dimensions of the self that exist in constant dialogue with the outward persona.
