Bronze Dancer on an Onyx and Green Marble Base
Sculpture in the characteristic pose of dancers by the artist Lorenzl, whose signature is found on the bronze base.
Joseph Lorenzl (1892-1950) was an Austrian artist, a contemporary of Chiparus and F. Preiss.
His style is characterized by dancers with ethereal poses and slender silhouettes.
In addition to bronze and chryselephantine, he also worked in ceramics for Goldscheider.
Good overall condition, minor wear to the patina.
