This … Read more We are pleased to present this splendid oil painting on plywood panel, dating back to the late 19th century. This magnificent painting of a reclining girl is signed lower right: A. Villa. It is likely a work by the Italian painter Aleardo Villa (Revello, February 12, 1865 – Milan, December 31, 1906), without authentication.

The painting depicts a young girl reclining, leaning on a large cushion. On the front is a large bouquet of flowers, probably hydrangeas. The girl, with voluminous, curly black hair, has typical Mediterranean features.
