* "jana grzimek (born october 24, 1964, in west berlin) is a german sculptor. She studied sculpture under waldemar otto at the bremen university of the arts. As a master student of fritz vehring, she graduated in ceramics. Teaching positions took her to, among other places, the gerhard marcks house in bremen, and in 1994 she received a scholarship to the worpswede artists' colony. She has also held visiting professorships and teaching positions at the art academies in stuttgart, berlin, and nuremberg. A recurring theme "her art focuses, among other things, on the female body."
