A vibrant, expanded view of the legendary Palm Springs gathering that defined mid-century jet-set glamour.
Description
Captured in January 1970 at the iconic Kaufmann Desert House in Palm Springs, "Poolside Chat" is the expanded companion piece to Slim Aarons' most recognized masterwork, "Poolside Gossip". This wider vantage point features former fashion model Helen Dzo Dzo Kaptur (in white lace) and homeowner Nelda Linsk (in yellow) joined by art dealer Joseph Linsk and other high-society guests enjoying a sun-drenched afternoon. The image perfectly encapsulates Aarons' ethos of capturing "attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places." This highly collectible piece is a limited first edition (numbered 1/150 in the lower-left margin) and bears the official blind-embossed Slim Aarons estate-stamped signature in the lower-right margin.

About the Artist
Slim Aarons (1916–2006) was a highly influential American photographer celebrated for his intimate portraits of the global elite and celebrities in their exclusive playgrounds.
Following a career as a combat photographer, he dedicated his life to documenting high society, leaving behind a legacy that remains the gold standard for aspirational lifestyle photography.
His entire life's work and legendary archive were acquired by Mark Getty, forming the cornerstone of the prestigious Getty Images collection.
