About the Artist
Garo was a prolific painter and a notable television personality in Quebec, Canada.

"Le Plaisir de Peindre": For nearly two decades (1980–1999), he hosted this popular instructional painting show, earning him the nickname "the Bob Ross of French Canada".
Artistic Range: While recognized for his landscapes and still lifes, he was also a skilled portraitist, famously painting figures like Josephine Baker and King Farouk of Egypt.
Legacy: He came from a family of artists; his father was a museum curator, and his son, Armand Tatossian, was a renowned member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts. See less
