Encased within clear Murano glass is a dynamic composition of multicoloured murrine canes, suspended alongside areas of deep blue aventurine that introduce a subtle metallic sparkle. The internal arrangement creates a sense of depth and movement, with royal blue, mint green, and darker navy tones distributed throughout the clear crystal body. The egg form enhances this visual effect, allowing the inclusions to be viewed from multiple angles, while the smooth, polished surface reflects light across the form. Handcrafted in Murano, the piece demonstrates the continued use of established Venetian glass techniques into the late 20th century. The base is neatly polished, allowing the paperweight to sit securely while maintaining a clean, uninterrupted profile. Condition is very good, with no chips or structural damage.
