Crafted by renowned Italian atelier Rho Mobili D’Epoca of Cabiate, in the Province of Como, this exceptional center table is Italian craftsmanship at its most persuasive. Empire and Neoclassical influences are present, certainly—but there will be no history lesson. The table has already made its point.

The spectacular burlwood top is a performance all its own: richly figured, beautifully polished and centered by an elaborate hand-cut marquetry medallion depicting a classical female figure commanding a horse-drawn chariot. Because apparently simply arriving wasn’t dramatic enough. Floral bouquets, trailing vines and precise geometric inlay surround the scene with the sort of detail that makes minimalism seem terribly underdressed.

Below, a sculptural quadrangular pedestal sweeps into a substantial four-point plinth finished with beautifully carved scroll feet. Architectural, elegant and just imposing enough, it can command a grand foyer without overwhelming it—or bring considerably more pedigree than necessary to a cocktail beside your favorite chair.
